Made With IBM — the birth of a platform and a new IBM. Easily the hardest thing I've ever been a part of, and I'm actually thankful for it.
A Smarter Planet upgrade, this platform was conceived, concepted, developed, celebrated, pitched and approved all within 2 months of being on the brand. A true way to get IBMers to love what they do and who they do it for, this platform celebrates the clients that are Made With IBM. To bring this to life, IBM gave Ogilvy an even greater challenge...Push it live, in 2 months for the Masters Golf Tournament. Easy? Sure, unless your concept is to make 54+ unique television spots to air only once during the entire Masters Golf Tournament. Oh, and have a unique, responsive webpage, for every single spot.
With round the clock shifts, our small, but extremely dedicated team managed to achieve our digital deliverables—a fully responsive site, with unique pages for every... single... spot...—in tandem to the Television, as it was being made. Literally, we would wait for a spot to finish being edited, gain the content, design and develop the webpage and move to the next story. Made with IBM evokes everything I love about the brand and will continue to grow with every activation and message.
